With the COVID-19 pandemic, the Claire Teague Senior Center has altered operations for the health and safety of our clientele and staff. Although our doors are closed to visitors, our staff is working every weekday at the Center to provide assistance and support for our town’s seniors by phone and email and by special appointment.

Our services have been adjusted as follows:

  • Our fitness and other on-site activities are suspended at this time.
  • On-site Community Lunches are also suspended at this time. However, we provide take-out lunches (suggested $2 donation) for pick-up, and seniors are asked to call (413) 528-1881 to reserve lunch one day in advance.
  • Community Lunch meals are available daily for pickup, starting at 11:30 a.m. The menu can be found here.
  • Seniors with transportation needs can contact the Southern Berkshire Elderly Transportation, at (413) 528-4773.

Join Kate Doran for a 45-minute chair-based online yoga class. We start sitting in the chair, then stand up and use the chair for balance in some standing postures, and then we get down on the floor for the last part of the practice. You only need to get up off the floor once! Enjoy and Namaste.

The reader (a volunteer from the Medical Reserve Corps) calls you once a week and they read for 15 min or so and then just check in. You can pick a book from what they have available or pick one of your own, just depending on your interest.
