Senior Tax Exemption/Tax Credit
In Massachusetts, income eligible homeowners over age 65 can receive a refundable tax credit on state income tax, through the Senior Circuit Breaker Tax Credit program. Watch this video to learn more or read the details here.
Senior Tax Work-Off Program
In addition, the town of Great Barrington offers a Senior Tax Work-off Program, which offers seniors — regardless of income — a real estate tax abatement bill in exchange for volunteer time on behalf of the Town. If you have skills to offer the Town of Great Barrington and its many departments, the Senior Tax Work-off program might be a good opportunity for you.
For more information about the current Senior Tax Work-Off opportunities, visit the Town of Great Barrington website page on this program.
